Becoming a Member...

People often wonder why becoming a member matters and why there seems to be so much to go through just to become part of the church. Here's the deal, we take membership very seriously because we believe that commiting to a church body is a very important and crucial decision.

Do you have to be a member to be a Christian? No, but when members join, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice to their brothers and sisters. Becoming a member also unleashes new possiblities of connection within ministries and many volunteer opportunities.

Membership Process

Bethel 101

This is an 8 week class that covers the biblical basics of what it means to be a Christ follower. We will go over spiritual disciplines and various basic spiritual concepts to help you get acclimated to what following Christ is all about.

Dogma Class

In this 1 week class we cover some theological principles and beliefs of Bethel Christian Church. This is our open hand theology, these are things not necessary for salvation but things that we at Bethel hold as a standard for higher living.

16 Fundamentals

Bethel is part of the Assemblies of God, the largest pentecostal denomination in the world. As part of the AG we adhere and uphold to the 16 fundamental truths of the council. In this 1 week class we cover these 16 important beliefs.

We baptize by immersion because it best symbolizes the reality to which baptism points—our death and resurrection in Christ.

If you have not been baptized following salvation, we ask you to take this step before becoming a Member. To help prepare you, we offer a Baptism Class. The class covers the biblical significance of baptism.
